Each team handled our belongs with care and worked quickly. These services were communicated to and covered by our insurance.

    When the rebuilding process started the contractors were also polite and efficient. Of note, I work from home and Houston Restore Pros worked with my schedule to ensure the work was completed timely. This included work on the weekends. When delays happened that were beyond their control, the owner, Juan, contacted us directly to provide reassurance. Throughout the entire process, project manager, Ben, was always available to answer any questions we had.

    The end product to our repairs were amazing! The contractors they worked with did an amazing job. After the repairs were complete, Houston Restore Pros brought in a cleaning service to clean our home thoroughly. On that same day, our personal belongings were returned to their original place. Two fans were set up late Monday and I was told that someone would be out early Tuesday to start work. On Tuesday, I was contacted midday that their other job was lasting longer than they anticipated and that they’d be there Tuesday. Wednesday the work actually began. I had been told that anything I could not move would be covered up and they would hang plastic so the debris wouldn’t get everywhere. When I arrived home, debris was tracked throughout the house: the hallways that they accessed, the gameroom they walked through with my kids toys, black bathroom rugs with white debris, guest room to access a plug. I spent hours cleaning so that my children weren’t walking through sheetrock and floor debris. My 3yo’s bedroom couldn’t be used for days until after I cleaned all of her shelves and washed everything because plastic wasn’t hung to keep the debris from her room. I found nails on the floor of her bedroom.

    I’m amazed that the floors got dry after all the baseboards and so much vinyl was left.

    I honestly had no idea of the mess that they would create and was unprepared. I was so overwhelmed by the experience, I didn’t think to move rugs or I didn’t anticipate that they’d be tracking broken sheetrock through the house onto the black bathroom rugs.

    I was told that the cords would be covered with tape so they would not be a hazard. That wasn’t done.

    My kids couldn’t take a bath because the bath was filled with hoses from the dehumidifier.

    My ladder was repeatedly used and I finally gave up putting it away. I thought that companies would use their own. Mine is wobbly and not ideal.

    All of the remaining items in my master closet will have to washed or dry cleaned.

    I cleaned all the floors after they came through that Wednesday after they set up the dehumidifiers and fan. My kids and dogs shouldn’t be forced to walk through all of the debris. The dogs could have ibgested it when licking their paws.. Each time they came through, more debris was tracked throughout the house. After the fans came out, I spent 8 hours cleaning the 3yo bedroom (where there was no work done, just adjacent to the bathroom where the overflow occcured).

    We didn’t have any hot water over tge holidays to wash towels or even for showers and baths because the fans put out the water heater light and I don’t have a clue about water heaters.

    I was told that when work was completed the holes would be covered with plastic. The master closet is now open to the the garage. Plastic was never hung at the end. A different person said he had not been told.

    I was out of town at the end due to the holidays. My personal bathroom was out of toilet paper and I couldn’t believe that it had been used instead of the bathroom for guests. My kitchen faucet is also broken, which was previously working with no issues. I find it hard to believe it’s a coincidence. The representative also tried to pressure me to digitally sign that the work was completed and dry while I was out of town. I explained I wasn’t comfortable because I had no way to verify. He turned it into “you’re refusing to sign”.

    I was assigned to this company through my insurance. I would not recommend them and was unhappy with my experience. It was difficult as it was being right before the holidays that this occurred and my experience with this company made it even more difficult.

Tito, sales representative, who came to our house did an excellent job of selling their services and providing a verbal estimate. He indicated a second quote would be provided for the repairs and scheduled that appointment for a later date the same week. Now, 2 weeks later, this has not occurred. Fans were left the same day and sheet rock, base boards, and carpet were cut out – some areas were poorly cut and the carpet was ripped where it cannot be saved rather than being cut at the seem (see pics). The representative who completed the demo stayed at our house late into the night to get the wet areas removed to avoid additional damage, except we noticed days later that he had also missed areas that we had to point out to him. Of concern was that he missed obvious areas within the walls and we had to point those out during a subsequent visit, leading to additional days with the fans running in those missed areas. Then the storm happened, leaving us without electricity for several days. Two weeks later, we have not received the paperwork with the estimated costs that were verbalized to us and our insurance states they also have not received anything. According to DryForce, the costs are provided 5-10 business days after the equipment is picked up. It’s been a mystery and we don’t know what they’ll be submitting to our insurance and whether it will align with the verbal quote, which is extremely stressful. Of course, they make you sign an agreement that states you’re financially responsible for anything your insurance won’t cover. The front end sales was convincing, but that salesman is out of the picture. The text message responsiveness from the office was helpful. However, at this point, we’re glad we did not commit and sign up for any restoration services from the start. I’ve added a few photos for context though there were many other areas. You can see how the carpet was ripped rather than cut at the seam, which now makes it unrepairable. Areas where the entire drywall should have been removed was missed, causing the wall area to remain wet and when pointed out had to removed. Missed to remove a damaged baseboard as seen in photo. Not good.

We had a roof leak several years ago that was fixed but the insulation got wet and a little mold appeared in the ceiling of an upstairs bathroom. We had other people come assess it and they all quoted us huge prices for remediation. However, JJ spent a lot of time investigating and taking pictures and moisture measurements. He determined everything was dry and none of the growth was active because the source of the water had been removed. He recommended we just replace the dry wall and wipe down any hard surfaces. I really appreciate him being honest and not making up a problem for his own profit when there was no problem. He talked me through everything very patiently and answered all my questions.
